Fees and Payment Schedule

  1. Security Deposit:
    All customers are required to make a security deposit of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) for any City Services. Security deposits shall be held without payment of interest if City Service is continued. The security deposit may be applied to any unpaid balance owed the City. At any time, City Service is discontinued, the security deposit will be applied to any unpaid balance. Any remaining credit amount will be issued to you the following month after your final bill is produced.
  2. Payments:
    All payments are finally due and payable on or before the 15th day of each month before 3:00pm. Payments received after 3:00pm will be processed the following business day and PENALTY OF 10% WILL BE ADDED. If you are over sixty (60) years of age, and responsible for your account, please notify the Utility Billing Manager.
  3. Returned Checks:
    There is a fee of Thirty dollars ($30.00) added to your account for any returned check. The amount due, plus the $30.00 fee, must be paid by cash or money order immediately to avoid any legal action or interrupted utility service.
  4. Final Notice:
    Final notices are mailed out on the 16th of each month.
  5. Disconnection:
    Any payment not received by the 22nd is subject to an administrative cut--off fee of Twenty--‐Seven dollars and Fifty cents ($27.50) even if your water has not been physically disconnected. All disconnections are made on the morning of the 23rd of each month.
  6. Reconnect Fee:
    There is no charge to reconnect your water during regular business hours (7am--‐5pm). After hours reconnection will be Fifty-One dollars and Fifty cents ($51.50). Your account balance, including the after hours fee, must be paid by money order for your services to be reconnected.
  7. Meter Tampering:
    Your meter will be pulled and a fee of Forty-Five dollars ($45.00) will be added to your account for tampering with our water meters. You will also be required to appear before the City’s Magistrate Judge and incur a possible fine up to Five Hundred dollars ($500.00). DON’T TAMPER!
  8. Confidential Account:
    The Texas Open Records Act governs all records of this utility. If you so desire, you may request that certain information is kept confidential upon a payment of a Three dollar ($3.00) fee.
  9. Lease Agreement:
    The City requires that you provide a lease agreement from your landlord when renting, to obtain service.
  10. Sanitation:
    It is unlawful for any person to throw, place or deposit in any street, alley, public way, lot or ground, or in any gutter, ditch or basin, or near or in any prohibited place, any trash, garbage, or other waste substance or any substance emitting noxious odors. Such deposits shall be considered a public nuisance with the possibility of a citation bring issued. Each City Services customer is provided with one (1) trash receptacle. Additional carts may be ordered for an additional fee of Eight dollars ($8.00) per cart. Our sanitation service provider will only pick up trash that has been placed in the provided receptacle. Carts may be placed at the curb no earlier than 6pm the night prior to your assigned trash pick-up day and removed no later than 6am the morning after your assigned pick-up day.
